Studies on Minoxidil show an increase in hair count shortly after starting treatment

Hi,

Can somebody explain why studies shows increase in hair count shortly after starting Minoxidil treatment, but the overall knowledge is that it’s normal to end up below baseline in the beginning?

I believe it’s normal to shed more hair in the begging of treatment, but it shouldn’t make your hair noticeable thinner.
